NFSA Coaches & Trainers

Dmitry Palamarchuk | Elite NFSA coach, Co-creator of the NFSA curriculum

Dmitry grew up and trained in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. At 4 years old he was on the ice training in a system much different than here in the US. He didn’t receive private lessons and never needed to make a decision about what to do next with training– everything was provided, including schooling that complimented his training schedule. Before he was 7, Dmitry trained four days a week and after his 7th birthday his schedule changed to 6 days per week- including ballet and off ice training. Dmitry, with partner Yulia Obertas, is a 4 time Ukrainian National Pairs Champion, 2 time Jr World Champion, 3 time World Championships competitor and also attended the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

Since retiring from skating, Dmitry has come over to the US to share his experiences with our skaters. It is his goal, as is for the NFSA, to bridge the gap between American and Eastern European training methods. Dmitry is the co- creator of the NFSA curriculum and brings a helpful perspective to the NFSA.
