Public Skating sessions are held throughout the ice season of the rink. This is the perfect way to enjoy ice skating with friends and family. Enjoy great music, food, and, of course, great company! Public skating is the perfect time to get on the ice! Our trained, professional staff and our Skater's Code of Conduct ensure a safe & enjoyable experience! General Admission: $8.00 Rental Skates: $4.00 *Rental skates are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For only $8.00 you can participate in an afternoon no-check pick-up game. Sessions are limited to 30 players and locker and shower facilities are available. All skaters must be at least 16 years of age to participate. Full equipment is required.

• Charles J. Buffone 1919 - 2002
• Served in House of Representatives 1963 -1968 / 1971 - 1980.
• Sponsored building of the arena which began construction in 1967 and opened in 1968 as the Worcester Skating Rink.
• Under the management of Facility Management Corporation from 1994 until present.
• The rink was dedicated as the Charles J. Buffone Arena in 1997.
• August 17, 1997 was commemorated as Charles J. Buffone day by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• A major renovation took place in 2004 and the arena proudly boasts major interior improvements as well as state of the art, energy efficient refrigeration and dehumidification systems that have brought new life to the arena.
