Programs :: Great Skate

The FMC Great Skate Program was established to allow accredited Massachusetts public and private schools, day care centers, and civic organizations the opportunity to expose their students and members to the educational and enjoyable aspects of ice skating.

School Programs

(Accredited Massachusetts Public and Private Schools only.)

Free Public Skating or reserved ice time for official school organized groups during regular school hours. Ideas for program curriculum include:

Physical Education Classes
Field Trips
Educational Tour of the facility including mechanical systems and technology of artificial ice making
Skating Parties
Fundraisers
Contests with Prizes

Day Care Programs

Bring an unlimited number of children to Public Skating or reserve ice time during the week days (vacation weeks and holidays excluded).

Non-Profit Civic Groups

(Boy/Girl Scouts, Church Groups, YMCA, Brownies, etc.)

Student/Member Reward Program

Custom one-time Public Skating passes available to award members that achieve or excel in their educational studies.

Program Benefits

By offering the use of our facility at no cost, we hope to be able to teach children the benefits of team and individual sport, the technology of artificial ice making as well as having the opportunity to have a good time. We hope you'll participate in any of the listed programs. If you have an idea for a specific program for your group, please call our Special Events Coordinator at 781-826-3085 or email us. We will be happy to work with you in developing a successful program.

Groups who are interested in participating in any of our community programs must pre-register with the FMC Special Events Coordinator. Proof of School/Civic Association will be requested.
